Job Summary:

The Finance Supervisor is responsible for managing daily financial operations and controlling costs within the restaurant chain or food service establishment. The role focuses on financial supervision, reporting, expense analysis, and monitoring operational costs to enhance profitability and minimize waste.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Cost Control, particularly within the restaurant environment, along with solid financial analysis skills and the ability to perform daily follow-ups.

Key Responsibilities:

1. General Financial Management

Monitor daily accounting transactions (receipts, payments, adjustments, and vouchers).

Review accounting entries and ensure compliance with company financial policies.

Prepare periodic financial reports (daily, weekly, and monthly).

Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.

2. Cost Control

Monitor food and beverage costs (Food Cost & Beverage Cost).

Review supplier invoices and match them with the inventory system.

Monitor waste levels, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.

Analyze variances between theoretical and actual quantities (Variance Analysis).

Review recipes with the Head Chef and ensure branch compliance.

Monitor inventory levels to avoid shortages or unjustified overstocking.

Prepare monthly cost reports and submit recommendations to improve profitability.

3. Restaurant Operational Control

Conduct regular branch visits to ensure compliance with company policies.

Inspect storage areas and freezers to ensure proper storage and purchasing practices.

Monitor Point of Sale (POS) systems and verify daily closing accuracy.

Supervise purchasing activities and ensure compliance with approved prices and contracts.

4. Financial Analysis & Decision Support

Analyze revenues and expenses for each branch and recommend performance improvements.

Provide accurate financial reports to management on profitability, margins, and expense forecasts.

Participate in annual budgeting and financial planning.

Deliver financial recommendations to support cost reduction and profit growth.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

3–5 years of experience in the restaurant industry.

Strong expertise in Cost Control and Food Cost management.

Proficiency in restaurant systems (POS, Inventory, ERP).

Advanced Excel skills.

Strong financial analysis skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and perform continuous branch follow-ups.

Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional operational teams.
