Al Bun Company, a leading company in the restaurant and hospitality industry, is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its Finance Department and contribute to maintaining accurate financial operations and supporting business growth.

Position Details

* Job Title: Senior Accountant

* Location: Baghdad, Iraq

* Employment Type: Full-Time

* Department: Finance

* Reports To: Finance Manager

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.

* Manage the general ledger and ensure accurate month-end and year-end closing.

* Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash transactions.

* Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

* Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

* Support external and internal audit activities.

* Maintain accurate financial records and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

* Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the restaurant, hospitality, or retail sector.

* Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting principles.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/Accounting systems.

* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

* Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
