Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Static Equipment (Pressure Vessels and Piping)


 

Job Summary:


 

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our team, specializing in the design, development, and operation of static equipment, including pressure vessels and piping systems, for various industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, and others.


 

Key Responsibilities:


 

1. Design and develop pressure vessels, piping systems, and other static equipment to meet project requirements and industry standards.

2. Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other calculations to ensure the integrity and safety of pressure vessels and piping systems.

3. Develop and implement design standards, specifications, and procedures for static equipment.

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and construction, to ensure effective design, procurement, and installation of static equipment.

5. Provide technical support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams to ensure safe and efficient operation of static equipment.

6. Participate in hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies, risk assessments, and other safety reviews to identify and mitigate potential hazards associated with static equipment.

7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments, codes, and standards (e.g., ASME, API, PED) and apply this knowledge to improve the design and operation of static equipment.


 

Requirements:


 

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the design, development, and operation of static equipment, including pressure vessels and piping systems.

3. Strong knowledge of industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, PED).

4. Proficient in using engineering software such as Autodesk, SolidWorks, and finite element analysis (FEA) tools.

5. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.


 

Preferred Qualifications:


 

1. Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

2. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent.

3. Experience with pressure vessel design, analysis, and fabrication.

4. Knowledge of piping system design, analysis, and installation.

5. Familiarity with risk-based inspection (RBI) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies.
