X-Ray Supervisor (Cargo Scanning & Inspection Supervisor)

Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced X-Ray Systems Supervisor to oversee the operation and maintenance of x-ray systems for vehicle and freight inspections. The ideal candidate will ensure the efficient functioning of equipment while maintaining high safety and security standards.

Location: Basra – Um Qasr

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise the operation of cargo scanning equipment and inspection processes to ensure timely and accurate screening.

• Monitor scanner performance and coordinate maintenance or calibration as required.

• Verify that cargo scanning records and inspection results are properly documented and securely stored.

• Coordinate with security, customs, and operations teams to resolve any flagged or suspicious cargo issues.

• Ensure adherence to ISO, HSE, and security standards in all scanning and inspection activities.

• Train and oversee the scanning & inspection team, promoting efficiency, vigilance, and professionalism.

• Support investigations of any detected contraband, hazardous materials, or discrepancies in scanned cargo.

• Provide regular reports on scanning activity, exceptions, and performance metrics to the Operations Manager.

• Train and manage staff on the proper use and maintenance of x-ray equipment.

Qualifications:

• 5 Years of experience in supervising x-ray systems or related technology.

• Strong understanding of security protocols and safety regulations.

• Excellent leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
