Financial Controller / Baghdad , Hilla, Najaf

Lead financial strategy in a dynamic microfinance environment.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Lead financial planning, budgeting, and multi-scenario forecasting

✔ Ensure compliance with IFRS, IAS, and Iraqi financial regulations

✔ Oversee financial reporting (management, board, and external stakeholders)

✔ Strengthen internal controls, audit readiness, and risk management frameworks

✔ Monitor financial KPIs, portfolio performance, and cost efficiency

✔ Partner with senior management to support strategic decision-making

✔ Drive financial systems improvements and ensure data integrity

Qualifications

✔ bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting (CPA / CMA / ACCA preferred)

✔ 8+ years of progressive experience, including leadership roles

✔ Strong expertise in IFRS, IAS, and regulatory compliance

✔ Experience in microfinance, banking, or NGOs is a strong advantage

✔ Fluency in Arabic & English
