Job Description

Nahaj Al Khair Company is seeking an experienced Structural Designer to support the design and detailing of structural steel works, including analysis, design calculations, structural drawings and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare structural designs and calculations for steel structures in accordance with approved codes and project specifications.

Develop and review structural analysis models and verify design assumptions and results.

Prepare structural design drawings, fabrication drawings and connection details.

Coordinate structural designs with architectural, civil, MEP and construction requirements.

Design steel members, connections, base plates, anchor bolts and supporting structures.

Review fabrication and erection drawings and provide technical solutions to site issues.

Prepare technical reports, design calculations and responses to RFIs.

Coordinate with Construction, QA/QC and Project Control teams to ensure design compliance and constructability.

Review structural modifications and assess their impact on the overall structure.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

5+ years of relevant structural design experience, preferably in steel structures.

Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, AISC or other international structural design standards.

Proficiency in SAP2000/ETABS and AutoCAD; experience with Tekla Structures is an advantage.

Experience in steel member and connection design, including bolted and welded connections.

Ability to prepare clear and accurate structural calculations and drawings.

Strong analytical, technical and problem-solving skills.

· The salary is not less than IQD 2,000,000, with the final salary to be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and interview outcome
