Job Summary:

The Cost Accountant will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and controlling manufacturing consumption within the flexible plant operations. This role will support budgeting, inventory valuation, variance analysis, and costing activities. The candidate must have strong SAP knowledge and experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyze manufacturing consumption, inventory, and production variances.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly consumption reports for management review.

• Perform standard costing, product costing, and cost variance analysis.

• Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to inventory and cost accounting.

• Maintain accurate inventory valuation and reconcile inventory accounts.

• Work closely with production, supply chain, and finance teams to improve cost efficiency.

• Analyze raw material consumption, labor costs, and overhead allocations.

• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.

• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.

• Utilize SAP for cost analysis, reporting, inventory management, and financial transactions.

• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within plant operations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.

• SAP experience is mandatory (preferably SAP CO, MM, or FICO modules).

• Strong understanding of standard costing and inventory accounting.

• Experience working in flexible plant or manufacturing operations is preferred.

• Advanced Excel and analytical skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of SAP systems and manufacturing processes.

• Experience with costing, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Strong business partnering and reporting skills.

Salary:

Starting from 1,250,000 IQD

 and based on experience

Working Hours:

Saturday to Thursday

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
