Location: Halfaya Oil Field, Maysan, Iraq

Work Schedule: 24 Days On / 6 Days Off

A leading Iraqi company operating in the Oil & Gas sector is seeking a highly qualified Project Manager to oversee field development and production projects at the Halfaya Oil Field in Maysan Governorate.

Position Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for the full lifecycle management of oil field development projects, ensuring safe, timely, and cost-effective execution in alignment with international oil and gas industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all on-site project execution activities at the oil field.

• Develop and implement comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality management.

• Manage multidisciplinary teams including engineering, construction, and operations personnel.

• Ensure strict compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards and company policies.

• Coordinate with operators, joint venture partners, contractors, and stakeholders.

• Monitor project performance, control budgets, and mitigate risks.

• Prepare and submit periodic progress reports to senior management.

• Ensure project delivery within approved timelines and financial targets.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience in project management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.

• Proven track record in managing oil field development, production enhancement, or infrastructure projects.

• Strong strategic planning and leadership capabilities.

• Demonstrated expertise in cost control, risk management, and schedule adherence.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory).

• PMP certification or equivalent project management credential is highly preferred.
