Position: Senior Accountant

Location: Baghdad – Airport Area

Preference: Candidates residing in Baghdad (Karkh side) preferred

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Baghdad. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and reporting, with the ability to manage day-to-day accounting operations efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting

Residents of Baghdad (Karkh side) are preferred

Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems)

Strong analytical and organizational skills

High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

Manage general ledger entries and ensure accuracy of financial records

Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes

Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies

Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow reports

Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies

Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning

Prepare documentation and support for internal and external audits

Supervise and review the work of junior accounting staff

Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Prepare tax filings and ensure compliance with local tax regulations

Provide financial analysis and reports to management as needed
