Position Title: Accounting Auditor – Inventory

Location: Baghdad – Alkarrada

Working Days: 6 Days from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Saturday to Thursday)

-  Job Purpose:

Responsible for auditing, reviewing, and controlling inventory records to ensure accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and alignment with company policies. The role focuses on safeguarding company assets, identifying discrepancies, and improving inventory control procedures through effective auditing and reporting.

📝 Key Responsibilities:

Conduct regular audits of inventory records, stock movements, and warehouse balances to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Review inventory transactions including receiving, issuing, transfers, and adjustments to ensure compliance with internal policies.

Perform physical inventory counts and reconcile results with system records, identifying variances and investigating root causes.

Evaluate the effectiveness of inventory control systems and internal controls, and recommend improvements where needed.

Verify inventory valuation methods and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.

Prepare audit reports highlighting findings, discrepancies, risks, and corrective action recommendations.

Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, finance, and operations teams to resolve inventory-related issues.

Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, and damaged inventory and report findings to management.

Support external auditors by providing inventory audit documentation and explanations when required.

Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all inventory audit activities.

🔏 Qualifications & Requirements:

University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Proven work experience as an Inventory Auditor, Accounting Auditor, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of inventory control, auditing standards, and accounting principles.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, and email communication.

Experience working with accounting or ERP systems (inventory modules preferred).

High attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to identify discrepancies.

Good communication and reporting skills.
